This qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. Educators at this level are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum that meets the requirements of an approved learning framework and for maintaining compliance in other areas of service operations. They use specialised knowledge and analyse and apply theoretical concepts to diverse work situations. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other educators.
Early childhood educators work in long day care centres, family day care, pre-schools or kindergartens.
To achieve this qualification, the individual must have completed a total of least 280 hours of work in a regulated children’s education and care service in Australia.

The study materials are provided to students by PIC and are included in total course fees.
Course Duration
This qualification will be delivered 14 hours face to face per week in the campus and 6 hours online per week. Total duration is 52 weeks. This includes 40 weeks of training and assessment spread over 4 full terms. There is no term break at the end. 12 weeks of holidays are spread over 4 terms breaks.

Potential employment options are as a Child- care Room leader, Center Manager, and relevant designations Students who complete this course may wish to continue their education into a range of higher education qualifications at bachelor’s level.
Course Structure
The BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management requires the completion of 6 core and 6 elective units. Paramount International College has chosen electives for this qualification to ensure that students achieve a broad range of skills and knowledge in leadership and management.

Student must complete CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care to get enrolment in CHC50121 – Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
