Certification at PIC

Paramount International College (PIC) issues qualifications, Statements of Attainment and records of results only after the relevant course, unit or module requirements have been successfully completed and verified.

Certification documents are prepared using approved templates and checked for accuracy, authenticity and compliance before they are issued.

Types of certification documents

Testamur

The official certificate confirming that an AQF qualification has been awarded. It is issued with a record of results.

Record of Results

Lists the units or modules completed and the corresponding results that contributed to the qualification.

Statement of Attainment

Issued when a student completes one or more nationally recognised units or modules but does not complete the full qualification.

ELICOS Certificate and Transcript

ELICOS students who complete or partially complete their course receive a certificate and transcript showing their study dates and grades.

When documents are issued

  • VET students who complete all qualification requirements receive a testamur and record of results within 30 calendar days.
  • A student who withdraws after successfully completing one or more units may receive a Statement of Attainment within 30 calendar days of withdrawal.
  • A record of results accompanies a Statement of Attainment only when requested.
  • ELICOS certification is issued within 30 calendar days after completion or partial completion of the course.
Eligibility conditions: all applicable course fees must be paid and PIC must hold a verified Unique Student Identifier, unless an exemption applies.

Certification process

  1. Completion confirmed: PIC checks that the required units, modules and assessment outcomes have been successfully completed.
  2. USI and fees checked: The verified USI or exemption and payment of applicable fees are confirmed.
  3. Details recorded: The award or Statement of Attainment is entered in PIC’s student management system.
  4. Documents prepared: Approved templates are used to generate the correct certification documents.
  5. Accuracy checked: Student, course, unit, result and issue details are reviewed using PIC’s issuing checklist.
  6. Approval and issue: An authorised signatory approves the documents, a copy is retained and the certification is provided to the student.

Unique Student Identifier

PIC cannot issue AQF certification documentation without a verified USI unless the student has an authorised exemption under the Student Identifiers Act 2014.

The USI is used to verify eligibility but is not printed on a testamur or Statement of Attainment.

Authenticity and record keeping

Document security

PIC certification includes identifiers and security features that help prevent fraudulent reproduction and allow documents to be authenticated.

Long-term records

PIC retains records of issued AQF certification documentation for at least 30 years and maintains a register of qualifications it is authorised to issue.

Regulatory reporting

AQF qualifications are reported to the regulator as required.

Public verification

A person may contact PIC to request verification by providing the student, qualification or unit, issue date and document-number details.

Reissuing certification documents

Former students may request a replacement testamur, Statement of Attainment or record of results. PIC checks the original record, reproduces the original document details, obtains approval and retains a copy of the reissued document.

A reissue fee may apply under the current Fees and Refunds Policy and Procedure.
