This qualification reflects the role of community services workers involved in the delivery, management and coordination of person-centred services to individuals, groups, and communities.
At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously within their scope of practice under broad directions from senior management.
Workers support people to make change in their lives to improve personal and social well-being and may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers. They may also undertake case management and program coordination.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 400 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.

Course Duration
This qualification will be delivered 14 hours face to face per week in the campus and 6 hours online per week. Total duration is 104 weeks. This includes 60 weeks of training and assessment spread over 6 full terms. 20 weeks will be spent in work placement. There is no term break at the end. 24 weeks of holidays are spread over 8 terms breaks.
Work Placement
This qualification will be delivered 14 hours face to face per week in the campus and 6 hours online per week. To achieve this qualification from Paramount International College (hereafter PIC), the students must have completed at least 400 hours of work placement in a compliant Community Services Organisation. The training package stipulates that the individual student must complete a total of least 400 hours of work in a regulated environment. So, PIC has allocated total 20 weeks for work placement, which amounts to 40 hours (20 hours/week). PIC believes these hours of work placement will help students excel in their skills and knowledge. All students have to obtain Working with Children Check, National Police Check certificate and First Aid unit before work placement, at students’ own expenses.
